Jim Greiner has been playing drums and percussion since 1970, including two years in Africa where he was deeply moved by the community-building, invigorating powers of drumming and celebratory gatherings. Jim Greiner Teaches Drum Circle Facilitation Skills Workshops At International Percussion Conference in Nashville

The prestigious Percussive Arts Society (PAS) chose Jim Greiner to lead several clinics and workshops at the recent International Conference (PASIC) in Nashville, Tennesee in November. One of Jim's workshops was entitled Drum Circle Facilitation Skills. This workshop, only the second extended length (five hour) workshop offered by PAS in its 50 year history, covered beginning, intermediate and advanced levels and gave the participants the skills and techniques necessary for people of all types to lead interactive drumming programs and rhythm-based events. Jim was chosen by PAS to lead this program in recognition of his standing in the international percussion community as "a master community drumming leader" (PAS) and as one "of the patriarchs of community drumming" (Drum! Magazine). Over 400 people, from four continents and at least nine countries, attended Jim's workshops at PASIC.
